Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about boilers, heating, gas safety and plumbing.

How often should I have my boiler serviced?

We recommend an annual boiler service for every household. Yearly servicing keeps your warranty valid, helps your boiler run efficiently, and spots potential safety issues early.

What are the signs my boiler needs replacing?

Frequent breakdowns, rising energy bills, strange noises, yellow flames, and boilers over 10–15 years old are common signs. If repairs are becoming costly, a new A-rated boiler can save money long term.

Do you offer landlord gas safety certificates?

Yes. We carry out CP12 gas safety inspections for landlords and letting agents. You will receive a digital certificate and a clear report on every appliance, flue and fitting.

Are you Gas Safe registered?

Yes. Flowtech Heating is Gas Safe registered, registration number 979875. Only Gas Safe registered engineers are legally allowed to work on gas appliances.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in West Bridgford, Nottingham (NG2) and cover Nottingham and surrounding areas including Arnold, Beeston, Carlton, Mapperley, Long Eaton, Stapleford and beyond. We typically cover locations within a 45-minute drive.

Do you do general plumbing work?

Yes. Alongside boiler and heating work, we handle everyday plumbing jobs such as leaks, drips, tap replacements and minor pipework repairs.

How quickly can you come out for an emergency?

We aim to respond to heating emergencies as quickly as possible. Call us directly on 07464 692155 and we will arrange the next available appointment.

Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

Yes. Our installs and repairs are backed by a 12-month workmanship guarantee, giving you peace of mind after every job.
